Names of the Children of God
Sons of God🔝 Back to Top
- The Mysterious Phrase "Sons of God"appears to be a group of beings that are like the angels (Genesis 6:2-4; called angels in Jude 1:6). They are not mankind because they are in existence before the foundations of the world (Job 38:7). Also, they have the ability to appear before God. This is true in most Old Testament references. Christians have the promise of becoming the sons of God.
- Exodus 4:22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:
- John 1:12-13 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."
- Romans 8:14: "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."
- Romans 8:18-22 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
Note the the word for "creation" and "creature" is ktisis. Therefore "creature" could be thought as "created thing".
- Php 2:14-16 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
- 1 John 3:1-2 "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is."

A Personal Note:
The Children of God🔝 Back to Top
One day, many years ago, I truly died. Jesus was there, He escorted me up before the Throne of Glory. Whether you believe that part happened or not is irrelevant for this is exactly what we are told would happen to those who die that believe on Him. This is 100% in-line with what the Word of God says, and this is what Jesus promised all of His Children.
For Jesus Christ is Lord and Jesus Keeps His Promises
During this experience, I met all those in my family who had died during my lifetime who were in Christ. They came to welcome me. The first one, front and center, was my great-grandfather who had died when I was only 11 months old. I recognized him even though he was young and beautiful. And so they came, one by one, to greet me—my relatives, these beautiful, glowing, happy, young, impossibly pretty children of God. Most of them I had known all my life as elderly. I would like to say I was stunned, but that feeling only came later, after I returned to Earth. Because during this time, I was full of joy, God's light and glory, as were we all.
For Jesus Christ is Lord and Jesus Keeps His Word
I do not believe that this was a Near-Death Experience. I have had Near-Death Experiences, this was not the same. I put NDEs into the same spiritual category as Dreams and Visions. This was like 2Corinthians 12:2-4.

Beloved🔝 Back to Top
- Both God as the Bridegroom and the Church as the Bride are refered to as "Beloved". Many people do not understand that Song of Solomon is about this relationship. But as we can see in other books of the Holy Bible written by Prophets of God, they believed this without one doubt. See Song of Solomon 1:14,16; 2:3,8,9,10,16,17; 4:16; 5:1,2,4,5,6,8,9,10,16; 6:1,2,3; 7:9,10,11,13; 8:5,14;
